Midi input transform utility

Guys.

Looking for an utility to get midi input data and transform before it reaches reaper. Ie. I press a button and want to change min max values.
For PC.

Any ideas?

but use a separate instance of Reaper with midi control plugin and rewire midi to your project?

Why would you need to do this before it reaches Reaper?

You can use any of MIDI JS FX as input FX and they will modify the MIDI input before it gets recorded.

Did it with MidiOX.

Had a bad modulation wheel sending crazy data and got it to eat all of that.

Thanks for the input. But that would put me in a position where I have to do that for every channel. Midi-OX let me do it globally.

As EvilDragon said, you can use input FX to play with the incoming data before it hits the track. Between all of Reaper's MIDI effects and some free bundles like Piz MIDI, there's not a lot you can't do.
