Default Newbie theme question

Hi everyone, I'm a bit of a newbie here so I don't know if it's the right subforum for this question or it might be better placed under the newbie forum...

I uess the answer is no, but I am wondering if it's possible to keep, for example, the look of the default 5.0 theme for the edit window but having a different theme for the mix window... Thanks in advance!

You would have to create a custom theme.

Thanks Randolph I imagined that. The thing is there's a theme which nails the mix window for me but I don't like how the edit windows look. I'd love to know if I could somehow 'paste' the look of the mix window in the theme I like into a new custom theme and do the same with the edit window of the other theme.

Anyone knows if such thing is possible? Thank you very much!!!

yes, it's possible.
you have to:
- create a new theme
- unpack/unzip both themes
- copy over the image files needed for the TCP and MCP to the new theme
- copy the WALTER code needed for the TCP and the MCP to the new theme's rtconfig.txt

The above is a very simple breakdown.
You will likely encounter issues and this will require you to learn how to understand what the WALTER code is doing.
Again, it's doable, but may require more time than you anticipate.

Thanks Lucas! It's amazing how deep you can customize this thing! Maybe in the future I'll give it a try, thank you! For now I'll stick to the standard 5.0 reaper theme and the Protools-looking one when I get to mix each project
