Default Highlighting keys in piano roll when pressing down a key?

Hi

Is it possible to configure reaper to get this red horizontal line when you press down a key with your midi keyboard? Now I only get it when i press a key in the piano roll with the mouse. Would be nice to get the same line when you press down a key on your midi controller aswell.

To clarify; What I want is the notes that you press down on the midi keyboard to get highlighted in the piano roll so its easier to see. I think other daws like fl had it like that.

Found these threads asking the same thing:

So did this functionality ever got implemented?

Second question:

Is it possible to show all named notes on top of the piano roll? By default it only seems to be showing c1 c2 etc.

Thanks in advance

Afaik, the keys in the Piano roll respond to the MIDI input, but the MIDI editor background color, selected pitch (as found in theme tweaker) only follows the piano roll key presses.

You can name the keys by double right clicking on them and entering the names for each. You can save and load these note name files from the MIDI editor menu, File/Note_CC names. The name display is a bit different than with those C octave names already there though.

Thanks for your answer xpander.
So its not possible?
"MIDI piano key note-on flash" only shows on piano roll when you click with the mouse on it and not when played with midi keyboard. And nothing shows during playback. Big downside imo. Cockos should fix this.
