Default Record mode set to output: does it record before or after FX chain?

I am confused about this.

I don't know the answer but it should be easy enough to figure it out. Put some weird effect in the bin and record a short section.

Output means what you are hearing, so the answer is "after FX chain".

I suspect you're right. I'll have to see why I got conflicting results with recording multiple tracks' output at the same time. complex routing yada yada...or just my ears are tired.
