User Manual 5.987
For about 3 days before the new reaper 6.0 manual was released, it said the latest manual (for Raper 5) was v5.987 on the Manual part of the website.
About four times a day for about three days I downloaded the manual only to find it was still the v5.985 version of the user manual and not the v5.987 version of the manual stated on the website.
When I downloaded the Reaper 6.0 User Manual, it also says the last version of the manual before 6.0 is 5.987. It says that in the What's new section.
I would really like to have the very last version of the Reaper 5 manual (5.987) for the last version of Reaper 5 (5.99).
I really love reaper and have been using it since version 3. I have always made sure I got the last version of Reaper and the last version of the manual that goes with it. Can anyone let me know how to get it.
Thanks
Borlock

I will look into it when I get home this evening. From memory I think there was a 5.987 edition, if so I'll send you a link.

Hi again Borlock!
I can put your mind at ease. I've double-checked and in fact there was no 5.987 version of the User Guide ... the last one before 6.0 was 5.985, which I believe you already have.
This is not unusual - sometimes a minor release update contains mostly or entirely bug fixes and performance enhancements that do not require documenting.
Thanks for your interest though!

Do not underestimate your manuals!
Though Kenny's videos are one pretty good source of
information and explanation, your manual is the anchor-
point for infos and functions of everything in Reaper!
Thank you so much!

Thanks from Borlock
Thank you Nicholas. That does put my mind at ease. I love Reaper and use it all the time. I have always made sure to get the very last manual release for the very last versions of Reaper (such as v3 and v4 of Reaper, and now v5).
I agree Enroe. That's why I want to make sure I have the last version of the manual. It is the most important source of data for Reaper. Kenny's videos are fantastic and very helpful, I have many of them, but there is no substitute for the Reaper manual, lol.
Thanks again
Borlock

Sorry to chime in but I'm kinda in the same situation. I've been away for a time and last version I used was 5.7ish. Now I'm gonna have to stay on 5.99 for a while and I'd really appreciate to have the latest available 5.x version of the user guide.
I thought there'd be a depository for older manuals, same as the installation file? Anyway, if there isn't, I'd really appreciate some link to the latest version, thanks a lot! cheers

I wish i read the 5.564e build manual, which i have, from cover to cover.
Often the issue is not so much about not having the latest manual but about the actual reading of what's available.
