Novation Dicer. Three banks accessed with the little buttons, plus three combo banks.

Great because you can hit them all day for years. It's DJ gear. Usually I'll call up plugin slots 1-5 with the left green bank. The right green bank closes all plugins, write automation, releases all latches and handles trim volume (swap and apply).

Hehe, I have three different copies of my old Amiga hard drives setup in WinUAE (the Amiga emulator for PCs), where I can boot up and access my old Amiga stuff just as if I were running it on my old Amigas. My old Amiga 500, with Dr. T's KCS Level III midi software, and I can play the midi through my PC's midi ports.

Airon… You need more knobs on the right.

Circa 2000 (I still have much of that gear) - That's a Logic for PC manual on the wooden rack on the far left - it was "my corner" of the band house I lived in for about 10 years. This is about a year before I moved out:

2018 - The endless failures continue but it's still fun:

POintless me posting any pix. Currently down to the computer & keyboard, 2x 4U racks with the inputs for my interface & my Mpatch 2 output monitor controller, plus a 1U tuner and my 8-input headphone amp. Yawn. Works though...

Amiga was Da Shit back then! Although, not according to Atari fans ...

I threw my Music-X 2.0 disks away some years ago. So, so stupid!

I'd post a pic of my old Commie-64 (with its 3, count 'em THREE!!) SID chip voices ... but it's up in the attic somewhere, and who knows how many kzillions of cosmic neutrinos have hit the darn thing during the 30 years it's been up there. For all I know any sound from it might sound only slightly better than any of my mushy sounding mixes from my modern Reaper DAW ... / laughs ....

I still have a physical Amiga 500 with a SupraGen Genlock, and a DCTV broadcast quality video interface, but haven't hooked them up since my kid wanted to try playing old games on an old computer.

Since I still have the genuine hardware, I kept all my Amiga floppies, and have four double row boxes full of individual programs and backups of Amiga HDs. At one point I was able to convert every one of the floppies into virtual disk images, and realized I could boot the WinUAE Amiga emulator off of a backup software disk image, and then feed it one by one, all the 50 or more disk images of an Amiga 500 or Amiga 2000 HD backup. It's quite cool being able to have access to everything that was ever on any HD that I had setup on my *real* Amigas.

Trivia you may or may not already know. Robert Yannes, the designer of the SID chip is also the guy that later co-founded Ensoniq and came out with the Mirage.

started on amiga - octamed all the way and then about 15 yrs in a windowless low ceilinged 2x3 kind of grotty little space - but now after much effort from myself and others have a space am really pleased with - first proper recordings are finishing up now so good opportunity to share a pic, and as I actually put effort into making it pleasant musical space to be in, spot of feedback welcome too.. if pic is too huge switch to reaper 5 forum theme (a top JF tip!)

How do you keep stuff from sliding off the table with the entire room at an angle like that?

Yea - we do a lot of hardware dev - each iron has different tip sizes.
There's more pics here: http://www.ajawamnet.com/

That's an 1104Z. Yea - you can hack the 50MHz to do all the stuff the 100 MHz 1104 does, but I work on stuff for my day job and have to use all licensed crap - I get audited (we're AS9100) so I can't do the cheap route.

One of my clients is Gary Stanfill at C-AT of the old Vega Wireless. We do ICRI and public safety radios. I've done well over 200 designs for him. Amazing analog designer.

Cool thanks for the info. Yes, my 1054 is a hacked 1104, caught my eye on the shelf there so thought I'd ask, thanks for sharing.

Why are most reaper daw systems always so cluttered in a general mess? looking at these photos you have to reach across equipment to get to another piece of equipment, then there is the trip hazards all over the place.

I'd say most of these are quite well organized. Many of us are just trying to make the best of small spaces. If you have to run lots of cables though, it's always gonna look some degree of messy. Nothing to do with Reaper being the DAW tho...

I was so impressed with some of these super clean, pro setups I thought mine might be an interesting contrast. You work with what you got and sometimes it's also the room you live in. That said, I do need to clean up a little.
