Default PDC still showing latency while plugin disabled

Hi. This post is not connected to whether PDC reporting is sample accurate, but only at the fact that PDC is still showing latency samples even though they are not there.

There are two ways to disable a plugin.
1. Uncheck the plugin box.
2. Disable the entire FX chain by clicking the on/off toggle switch.

While PDC is reported correctly in the first case (it goes from the plugin sample latency number to zero), it will not change at all in the second despite the fact that any latency is gone.

It is very easy to check this with a heavy latency plugin.

It is not a big problem, but complicates things in large projects where latency is a concern and you need to read the performance meter for such info. Hope you can address it in a future update.

Thanks!

PDC is recalculated when starting transport, not when disabling the plugins. So play/stop and there yo ugo.

Thanks for the reply ED.

But this is not the case with the two plugins I have in front of me right now. One is AOM invisible limiter, which only gets a PDC latency reduction (from 3072 to 2301), when restarting the transport. The other is ReaVerb with an IR file loaded which doesn't change at all (from 16384 to 16384).

I should also add that unchecking the plugin box resets PDC to zero immediately, not just when transport restarts.
