I use the reaper to make my voice in a bit better quality and to denoise it. A virtual audio cable allows me to do it live. A great simplification. Now my question: Can I assign a keyboard key to turn the effect on and off, even if I am not in the Reaper window?
No. Keyboard shortcuts only work when Reaper has 'focus'. I don't think a midi controller shortcut will work either on this circumstance, though it's worth trying just to make sure.
