Default Error Importing MIDI

Hey guys,
I tried to import some MIDI files to edit.

And I found 1 midi file is incorrect after importing:

The MIDI file is:

https://stash.reaper.fm/34828/%26%23...0%28GM2%29.mid

The incorrect parse result is in Channel 4.

All that is, is a classic MIDI (not exclusively Reaper) error, where the note offs for those elongated notes have either got lost or been moved. Very common with importing other peoples MIDI files.
I renamed the .MID file to something shorter and more occidental in case it related to the Chinese characters, which seem to have no effect in this case.

It would be woprth looking in the MIDI event list editor to see if there are any control codes, sysex`s or other code items that you need to remove or vchange.

Pragmatically, go into the MIDI editor and hand-edit those notes to the right lenght, then save the project and it will be fixed.

... especially if the notes overlap (but I do not think that that is the case here).

Having said that it seems OK here (Reaper v5.95) if I load the multichannel MIDI item onto a single track:

But If I load it and select the option to load each channel onto multiple tracks, it gets corrupted:

And, if I explode the first one onto multiple tracks it gets corrupted - so it's the Explode operation that messes it up (but it still looks OK in the in-line Editor!):

Yes!

I tried to import into a single track, it's correct!

Excellent! This could conceivably offer another clue as to what is going wrong in general.

Wish I was smart enough to figure out WHAT.
