the best way to work with your internal soundcard when using the mac is to create an aggregate device.

Go to Audio/MIDI setup (in your Utilities folder, inside Applications).

Go to Audio menu (or press shift+apple+a) to open aggregate device manager.

Create a virtual device, using the built-in input and the built-in output.

Now go back to REAPER and go to preferences/Audio/Device and select the virtual audio device you just created.

That should see you right!

are these movies on your computer? as an avi file or mp4? Or are you playing them on your tv via a dvd player?

I ask because it changes the way you go about it (well, the way I'd go about it.... )

If it's an avi, you can just drag'n'drop into REAPER. Simple.

If not, the other way; aggregate device. Apologies, you seem to be running snow leopard on your mac, I'm still on leopard (because I have an mbox1 and want to be able to open Pro Tools files).

So might be a little diff in setting up aggregate device but not much.

Here's screenshots of mine...

hope this helps.
