Default [6.67] "default envelope point shape" not always working

In Preferences > Track/Send Defaults, I have "Default envelope point shape" set to "Slow start/end"

Usually it works as expected -- I get the correct shape when I add new points.

Then, sometimes, I add a point and it's linear (this is not desired; I want it to be "slow start/end").

**Steps to reproduce the bug**

I've discovered at least one way to reproduce the problem:

1. Open Preferences > Track/Send Defaults, and set "Default envelope point shape" to "Slow start/end"

2. Open the volume automation for a given track

3. Make a time selection

4. Within the time selection, on the volume automation line, use the mouse modifier "Move envelope point on one axis only" (for me it's Left Drag on Envelope Segment while holding Ctrl + Shift ... i think this is the default mouse mod) to drag the volume line down.

5. Between the two new points that are created within the time selection, add a point (let's call it point B).

6. Delete the point that directly precedes point B (ie, the point that comes before and is at the same volume level as point B). A "linear" line appears, not a "slow start" one, even though the default is "slow start"!

7. Now, delete the point that directly follows Point B, and (perhaps oddly) you get the expected "slow start" automation line.

**Computer specs**

Installed RAM 32.0 GB (31.9 GB usable)
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
