Video Transparency
Video transparency is a really important part of what I'm doing at the moment.
I'm curious if it's possible to use a video with transparency in Reaper so that I can use a video overlay. I am totally flexible on formats and such. I've read a few things which don't seem to be true in practice (such as some threads say there's a dedicated video transparency option which I can't find anywhere). At the moment my files are in mp4 against a bluescreen backdrop so I can do colour-to-transparency or anything like this. Appreciate any feedback on this. |

Video processor plugin
Chroma Key preset (green/blue screen filter) for image files (pngs) with alpha channel you can use the "Overlay: Image overlay" preset.

Thanks mate. I solved it in the end using the chroma key solution as you suggested.

You may also use a pre-made video (or static image) with alpha transparency to superimpose on your own video (with the preset "overlay image") although you cannot generate such a video yet in Reaper.
