Problems with Samsung Tab and OSC (SOLVED?)
My main DAW computer is a new PC, connected to our home router/WLAN-station via ethernet. I've tried this same setup with my ancient iPad2 and it works: iPad2 is connected to network via WLAN, and it works as a controller with my PC. BUT!
If I try to do the same with my 5 years old Samsung Tab I'm not able to make a working connection. The only OSC messages I see in Reaper are when I'm switching a tab inside a TouchOSC-template, as seen in the other picture.
I'd rather use this Samsung tab because it's faster and more reliable, iPad2 should go to trash bin..
Any ideas what's going on? I've connected both (iPad2, SamsungTab) via 5ghz WLAN-connection.

But I tested earlier the same tab with USB-cable (TouchOSC USB-bridge) and it worked. So it's somehow related to wireless connection?
I also can't make it work nicely (sync) with my M1 MBA wirelessly (USB-connection is not available with M1).

I deleted TouchOSC-app from my Samsung tab, and rebooted the tab.
Well.. It seems to be working now! Go figure..

I’ve been monitoring this thread out of curiosity. Throughout this whole time did you try different port numbers?
My theory is either Reaper, or TouchOSC, or even the PCs or macs themselves hold on to port numbers once they have been used for one particular thing. My only shred of evidence that supports this theory is sometimes changing port numbers all together makes things work again.
I plan on releasing an osc template that uses CSI in a little while here. Been working on it for months. But I know I’m going to have to try and sort out problems like this one here so thanks for posting.
Also, if you deleted the TouchOSC app, which osc client are you using?

I did try different ports = no success. Because my old iPad2 worked with my Mac and my new PC -> I narrowed down the problem to my Samsung Tab.
I deleted that app from Samsung Tab, and after that I rebooted my tab (I don't do that so often).
After reinstalling the TouchOSC-app in my Tab everything just clicked and we have progress here!
Details about apps:
Samsung Tab = latest TouchOSC-version
iPad2 = the old version (with old graphics, the new one also installs but refuses to work after a while)
PC/Mac = the latest TouchOSC-app from Hexler (for desktops)
Now everything is working and it's just great!!!

Strange.. TouchOSC works just fine with PC, but somehow it refuses to work with MAC (M1 MBA).
I've checked the setting/configuration/numbers, it just doesn't work..
Anyone any ideas what could be wrong here?
Everything (PC, MAC, tab) is connected to home wlan.
