Default Color item labels according to track?

[see attachment]

I'm trying to get media items to color the way they do in FL studio, where both the waveform and item label are solid (custom) colors. I got the first part down, but I can't seem to get the item label to take on the track color. Using the item_bg.png I can get it to a fixed solid color, but I specifically want it to be the track color. Is this possible?

Ok no not exactly. You can have a solid bar for item selection (any solid color) but the text cannot be inside it. That's in theme tweaker (search "bar").

I like to have unselected items without much color and then colored by track when selected. Works well. If you keep colors muted overall, then you can use fully saturated colors for selection and they stand right out.

Well that's a shame then. I get your idea, but I find that using saturated colors makes it easier to find stuff in the first place, and then use a bright yellow bar and/or some all-red shading on selected items to easily distinguish them. Whatever works for you/me

Yea, to be clear you can do that in the theme tweaker. I just thought you wanted it the same color as the track, which is why I pointed out the other options for the item colors. Pretty sure you can also change the outline color for selected items there as well.
