Default MIDI files offline (FIXED)

just tried to record midi for first time in a long while. whenever I stop recording the item is immediately set to 'offline'. when i tried to view the source properties it said 'Error reading MIDI file: 5 (report this)'.

can you post one of those .mids here? Thanks!

Also, curious, anything special about the input you are recording? i.e. unusual events etc?

Thanks,

Justin

here is one of the offending files. Nothing weird about what I am recording. I am recording notes only, input from an external source and going through midi-ox and a midiyoke input. I am retrying today with direct midi connection (no midi ox or midiyoke).

Confirmed (5.20 x64). But Media Player Classic Homecinema also can't open the file.

Same with this file: http://forum.cockos.com/attachment.p...3&d=1308137139

this is simply one complete corrupt MIDI File.. and not a bug..
There are some status undefined, so this file produce, at the end, illegal MIDI events.

EDIT..
I mean both.. the very old above and the second link file..

That file has a track with tons of MIDI SPP/realtime messages recorded, which makes it corrupt, REAPER at some point probably did that, but hopefully will never now (in this decade at least).
