Default Reaper Crashing on start up

PC Win 10, latest version of Reaper, I un flaged request sample rate and block size and instantly crashed. when I open the program again, it gets to 'Initialising Main Window' and crashes every time. I installed the previous version of Reaper and it works but my Apollo 8p thunderbolt wont apear in the ASIO setting options. Ive tried uninstalling and reinstalling Reaper and checking for latest drivers for Apollo and PC. nothings helping.
