Default Use Reaper to EQ my speaker system

Hi Everybody,

Happy to join the forum!

I'm interested in using Reaper as an EQ system for my 5.1 speakers and to play out 6 channel wavs via ASIO.

Specifically, what I'd like to achieve with Reaper is:

Equalize each speaker individually with a 1/3 octave eq and possibly some additional parametric eqs
Adjust the gain for each speaker separately
Be able to load in 6 channel wavs and have the EQs automatically apply.

Is this something that Reaper can achieve?

Thanks!

Sure, Reaper can do that.

It's a bit like trying to make a cake dough in a 30 ton cement mixer, though.

You'd need an interface with at least 6 inputs and 6 outputs. Add spdif in and out if you want to play back Dolby AC encoded DVD's.

If you just want to eq, why not use a system wide eq system. Are you on Windows, Linux or macOS?
