Default Quick Mastering Project Setup For Lazy People

Setting up a project could be a very boring task, especially a 30 tracks album. That's why I decided to take some time to put together a series of actions to set everything up with LITERALLY one click.
I had this idea since I watched Jon's video about his mastering workflow. So I just found a cool way to perform everything with one click, but not the core action

How to install it:

1) Download QuickMasteringSetup.ReaperKeyMap from the Stash
2) Download the script Mastering_Setup_trackNumber.lua from the Stash
3) Launch Reaper
4) Open the Actions List
5) Import the KeyMap file
6) Load the script

How to use it for example in an album scenario:

1) Open your media explorer and drag your songs into your session
2) Open the Actions List and look for the action "Custom: Complete Mastering Setup"
3) Run it

You can add this action to a toolbar, so that you press it and bam! Done!

PLUS: The regions are already set to render the master track, so you just need to set the render path and maybe to rename the regions.

This looks extremely handy for anyone using Reaper to do mastering. It takes a lot of the busy work out of the setup. Very nice!

Thanks!

you have to download and load the script from the actions list

I did. I downloaded, imported it, put it on my toolbar, and loaded.

Weird, I've tried it with a fresh install or Reaper and it works. Anyone else has this problem?

Edit: I tried on another machine and it gives me your same problem. Tonight I'll try to fix it.

I got this to work, sort of. Most of the tracks are sorted properly as far as endings and beginnings, but the region numbers begin at 12 and go up. The second track overlaps the first track, and there are multiple regions assigned along the length of the track. Makes quite a mess. This is such a potential time saver. If anyone has any tips to get it to work properly I'd be much obliged!

Dave, thanks for making this! I've got it all working except it is not creating and auto-naming regions.
Is that a feature of the script or do I need to add it myself?
