Sticky Plugin-Compatibility list?
Hey everyone,
I'm running Reaper 6 on Fedora 31 and I'm surprised how many Windows VSTs run without issues thanks to LinVST. Don't know if this has come up yet, but what about a sticky post where people can report their experience with (Windows)-VSTs in Reaper? Here's what I've been testing so far: Fedora 31, Reaper 6.03 Native Linux VSTs Harrison Consoles - AVA LegacyQ - flawless, needs a symlink on non-debian systems (*1 Harrison Consoles - AVA ME - flawless, needs a symlink on non-debian systems (*1 LinVST 2.8, 64bit VST2 (*2 Acon Digital - Verberate v1 - flawless Focusrite - Red Plugin Suite - flawless Klanghelm - all freeware PlugIns - flawless Klanghelm - SDRR Tube - flawless Nugen Audio - ISL v2 - flawless; if the activation fails try again (*3 Nugen Audio - Monofilter v4 - flawless; if the activation fails try again (*3 Nugen Audio - SigMod - - flawless; if the activation fails try again (*3 Signum Audio - Bute Loudness Analyzer Stereo - flawless TokyoDawnLabs - all freeware PlugIns - flawless TokyoDawnLabs - Kotelnikov GE - will crash when loading the license file, but works fine after that TokyoDawnLabs - SlickEQ M - will crash when loading the license file, but works fine after that Voxengo - Span - flawless *1 symlink for Harrison & Tracktion PlugIns: sudo ln -s /usr/lib64/libcurl.so.4 /usr/lib64/libcurl-gnutls.so.4 *2 unless stated otherwise all plugins were installed on linux, either by running the installer with wine, or by downloading a zip-file. Zip-files that include AAX versions need to be extracted as root otherwise the extraction will stop at the AAX files. Alternatively you can just open the archive and extract the dll files manually. *3 using the standard license code activation |
