Is it possible to remove the docker tab?
Hello guys!
Is there anyway one could edit the Default Reaper theme into getting rid of the Docker tab? There is absolutely no existing option to do this and those pixels would really come in handy, since I never dock anything else.
I'll PayPal you lunch
PS: New to this forum, hope the image shows up right. The red area is what I want gone, even if the mixer is docked.

Open and maximize the "mixer".
After this, you can open/close the mixer with CTRL + M and the docker will be gone, because nothing is "docked".
Greetings.

Thank you Juca! But not quite what I'm looking for. I DO want the mixer to be docked, but ALSO want the tabs to disappear so I can gain those pixels on the TCP.
Cheers though

Ok, I understood it.
But if the mixer is docked, when you press CTRL + M, the docker space will not gone?

Hi joaoldmedeiros,
I can give you at least a little background. Those tabs are represented via tab_down.png and tab_down_sel.png images which have a certain height and width. But how high and wide they are doesn't matter as their appearance is described somewhere outside of the theme. At least I couldn't find any place where those files got mentioned.
So I guess this is hard coded system stuff. Only thing I can suggest is browsing other templates if one of them has a different height at the tabs. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Ohhhh I see... that's a real shame!!! If changing the height of those images doesn't work, you think there's anywhere else in the theme we can edit to make that space at least smaller?
There is an option that reads "Compact Docker when small and single tab" that makes it look like this:
Anyway you can conceive to make it ALWAYS be like this, even when big? I'd consider that a victory too! Hahaha

The size of the tabs and the conditions under which they appear is indeed hardcoded and non-themable.

Thank you so much for letting me know. Does Cockos have any kind of a "suggestion box" of sorts where I can present this idea?

There is a way, here is the action:
Dockers: Compact when small and single tab
For some reason this is a toggle option but does not show on/off like other toggles.
Also you can get there with right click of the tab. Remember, in Reaper, right click everything.
No lunch, just thanks

I replied to the OP from opened forum tabs from this morning. Hah. Not the first time, I've deleted posts immediately when I've caught it before.
