Default Yamaha MX88

Hi,

I'm considering buying a Yamaha MX88 which has a USB Audio/MIDI interface so I'm wondering how all that stuff is working in Reaper especially for audio. If it's not going to work I will maybe take a cheaper synth.

I'm on Windows 7/64 so I cannot use aggregate devices I guess.
My main interface is a Firestudio Mobile on Firewire.

Any people with MX series ?

If you just want to record AUDIO, you can simply connect the Line Audio Outputs from the Yamaha to inputs on your audio interface (Firestudio Mobile).

You can check the MX88 (Owner's and Reference) Manuals and Guides from the Yamaha website for more info about the available connections, etc.: http://download.yamaha.com/search/re...en&search=mx88

Of course I know that but what I don't know is if I would be able to use the USB Audio of MX88 at the same time and in the same project with my Firestudio.

OK, I didn't get from your first post that you were asking about using an aggregated audio device in particular. That's why I only mentioned the more hassle-free option

As zeekat already mentioned: if you want to use both audio interfaces (Firestudio + Yamaha USB Audio) at the same time, you'll have to try making an aggregated audio device with ASIO4ALL.
You can find general setup and troubleshooting tips for ASIO4ALL here (the procedure is the same for using other DAWs like Reaper): https://www.image-line.com/support/F...s_asio4all.htm
