I guess it's related to the preference "Whenn adding volume/pan envelopes: apply trim to envelope and reset trim", which when set to 'Always' or 'In read/write' now doesn't apply anymore in above condition.

I have a question regarding option "Options: Bypass underlying envelope outside of automation items".
Is it possible to automatically convert all the envelopes to automation items, if this option is enabled? Because it breaks all the automation in a project and I have to remember to manually convert envelopes.

Read my comment carefully.
I ask for automatic converting, because I might not remember, whether I have automation on normal envelopes.
Example: you have 8 envelopes, 3 of which are not AI. If this option is enabled, you won't see them (if they are hidden). What I ask for is when you use this option, it will convert all the envelopes to AIs automatically.

It does convert them and makes them visible here, but if your working on a project and run that action it makes all the current AIs 2x longer (without the points) and the loop point moves to the end of the AI. That can't be right or I have some other setting messing this up?
Edit v5.963 acts same way, sorry.
