Default Advanced Theme : Coffee & Cream

Celebrate advanced theming with a full set of *Bling*

There's one or two niggles with the standard theme colour elements, but you shouldn't have any difficulty tweaking them to taste. And yes, a more contrast-y (and full colour palette) wokflow-oriented theme is on its way...

A big handshake to Cockos for a fantastic implementation!

updated 10/7/07 drop scrollbar.png in the Coffee&Cream folder for *drumroll please* skinned scrollbars.

Knowing Justin, he'll get the two niggles sorted out. I spotted a few. And I agree, a big handshake to the Cockos team!!!

Well he might... but since they're my fault I doubt it I'm referring to the colours you set up yourself in Preferences, they need some attention on this theme from someone who's good at that stuff... Alex please?

Got ya. I did notice something funky when you solo a track. A funky graphic appears in the mix window at the top of each meter on the other tracks that say, "NOT SOLO". Same thing when a track is muted. I thought this might have been one of those niggles you mentioned.

Beautifuld!
But...
When I select a track it gets grey dark but in the mixer it gets grey light!! Very confusing! Also there´s no clear division between tracks and also in the mixer so it´s gets confusing too with a lot of tracks. But the bug of selection...hugg...please fix that

Seconded.

I like the graphics ideas, but i think they're not gathered the best possible way : some things don't really fit together (the futuristic menu icons vs the old school comodorre transport icons, the sober minimal greyish clips, faders & buttons vs the flashy-late80ies style of the red recording led or the vumeters...), and the size don't really match (I like the new skinning direction, but i don't want that the interface takes too much space on the screen, even if it gets fancy!).

(Very) Nice sketch, premiliminary theme, but i think it needs some more maturation to make it more "homogenic".
I even think that with all the ideas there it should be possible to make 3 themes out of this one -less is more-

@Justin:

Please give us a full-width toolbar with fixed sized icons. This resizing looks "childish".

Default Damn!!! Simply HOT!

Hey White Tie!

Simply great job as usual and thanx to Justin and Cockos for making this possible. I can wait until version 2.0 and hopefully Justin will integrate the FULL White Tie Mixer with the Eq in every strip etc.. Wow!! Great job! Reaper is coming along.... Its gonna hurt soon!!:)))!!!

Awesome look WhiteTie. Great exemplar for the new skinning abilities.

I hope people understand that if they don't care for this particular theme, they can change it or make their own. You can make smaller icons if you want, etc. That's why they call them themes!

how can you make them fixed size? since 1.872 resizing the tcp also resizes the toolbar-icons = ugly.

I thought that at first, but then realised I was wrong. The big icons are cool.

However, if you don't mind being wrong, here's some small ones...

wow. I first hadn't noticed all the onmouseover stuff. It must have been a big work. Congratulations, WT.
I like the yellow of the I/O button onmouseover.
All the original-windows-ish parts look weird now :P (like the popping up windows for the efx or browsing, the arrows in the media browser, etc).

Oh, and btw, thanks also for the neat Reapeaks/projects icons

thank you for alll of the time and effort that this took --

just so people know, this took ALOT...

it wasnt like REAPER had advanced themeing and this was an overnight theme for WT --

he's a genius and talented, but it still takes patience and forethought and alot of blood sweat and tears...

to take advantage of the meter and buttons, but get you old TCP/Mixer colors and gradient, rename
mcp_bg.png
mcp_bgsel.png
tcp_bg.png
tcp_bgsel.png.

reload the theme

ARGH!

Finally there is a theme that looks like something I'd like to showcase to clients and I can't load it.

I'm stuck in limbo with no icon sets loading. ARGG!

Fantastic theme... that I can't even load. :C

It's a little too "big" for my tastes, as far as the icons are concerned, and even though some of them automatically resize based on the amount of space available, the tracks slider icons always remain too large and the transport icons are always too small.

Which is a bummer because they look great!!
