Default REX files won't load in Reaper

Hi guys!
Just open my existing projects i worked on and realise that RX2 files won't load. Doesn't play, doesn't shows peak wave, says file off-line. I can't see or hear it in preview window, as well.
That's weird, because i used to use RX2 files in Reaper projects, and it always was fine, as Reaper suppose to support this kind of files.
Does anyone experienced this kind of issue?
Thanks!

on windows 7 64 bit and 64 bit reaper

rx2 files load fine here... reaper gives a choice during drag and drop to load as sliced or as single looped item

both ways work fine for me

wondering if your rex files are actually OK?

Always been, but not now, since updated to OSX Mojave 10.14.5. Still doesn't work for me.

I've had this issue in the past a few times (on PC).
Have you tried reinstalling Reaper and restarting your computer?

Rex support is done via an external .DLL (and the equivalent on Mac) so if that's not loading correctly for some reason .rx2 file support breaks.

Of course i did Also tried to downgrade Reaper to previous versions. Still doesn't work. Reaper simply doesn't see REX files. It won't load in existing projects, and it shows empty files in Preview window.

on windows, you have to have a box ticked in optional functionality, when you install. Is it the same on Mac & if so, is it ticked?

*.RX2 files working here OK. (drag'n'dropped from Windows Explorer to timeline)
(note I don't have any *.REX files here to try them, only *.RX2)

- REAPER v5.979+dev0630 (32-bit)
- Windows 7 Professional (32-bit)
- portable install
- I never change installation default options

Yes, i mean *.RX2 as well. Well, as i said it always worked fine. It just doesn't work anymore, since i updated to OSX Mojave. Not sure, if it's connected to that, but so far it's the only issue i see.

No, you don't have to do it during installation on Mac. But, as i said, i always used *.RX2 on Reaper without any problems.

Not sure what else to suggest, but I can say that when this happened to me in the past it would always 'fix itself' just as randomly.

It seems Reaper 32-bit sees RX2 files.
