Default Waveforms not showing.

I got a ux8 and reaper. I have 7 of the mics running into 7 tracks, all recording perfectly but no waveforms are showing up. It plays back but its just a flat line...

I've tried zooming in the whole way but it still doesn't show. Can't see any options in preferances to make the graphic bigger...

Any idea's?

Thanks.

EDIT: Never saw there was an irc channel, got my answer there. It was in preferances > media.

rtff!

Have a look in preferences under Appearance/Media and make sure that the first box is checked "Display Peaks for Media Items" (the one for "while recording" is handy too)

wow you beat me to it

Have you tried clicking on the waveform, then pressing the shift key while you press the keyboard up arrow? This should expand the waveform.

edit: sorry I was a bit slow and you've already got an answer.

That probably means you're recording a bit quiet, but if you're not having noise problems I guess it's not a big deal.
