Default Making Item Edge Square?

Hi,
I like the default look of Reaper other than the rounded item edges. Is there a easy way of making them square? Like in this theme...(see attached)

Hello gabew and welcome to these forums. You'll find many helpful people here and a lot of useful information.

Not easy easy, but possible. Those elements use .png files within the Reaper theme file. You can edit them:

-- find the theme file (You should be able to get to the ColorThemes folder containing the file(s) from [Options] > select "Show Reaper resource path in Explorer / Finder")
-- copy the Default them to a new name,
-- change the copy to a .zip file
-- unzip it,
-- find the item_bg and item_bg_sel files,
-- extract them and edit them to what you want, make them pale colours,
-- put them back in the .zip file,
-- change it back to a ReaperThemeZip filetype,
-- restart Reaper,
-- select [Options] > Themes > the new theme, to load it.

You could also follow DarkStars instructions, but instead of editing the item_bg and item_bg_sel files, simply delete them from the zip file. You can then use the theme editor in preferences to make item background whatever color you like. Be sure at the top of theme editor where it says "Default image resources" to insert Classic_1x. Also make sure to check the box to "Allow theme to overide" I guess what happens is when it doesn't find the item_bg_sel and item_bg pngs it automatically uses the ones from Classic_1x theme. Which are square.
