I apologize for such a basic question, but
Do I uninstall the old versions of Dragonfly Hall and Room reverbs when I install the new 3.2.3 versions?

It sounds great so far!
Can anyone explain Early Level/Early Send/Late Level?

As with almost every plugin, yes. (You have never had to update any plugins until just now?)
The only exception I can think of would be if you installed Dragonfly from a Linux software manager, since it would probably remove the old files first.

Manuals are there. The only thing that should be a bit unusual to see in a Reverb plugin would be early send. That's the portion of early reflections sent to the late reflections.

Recording acoustic instruments, I've only used ReaEQ and Dragonfly reverbs so far.
If I wasn't reading this forum, how would I know that Dragonfly (or any plugin) had an update? Do you have to look up each plugin to see?
Thanks

Hey, thanks for this. I haven't used a ton of reverb fx, the terminology was new to me. But makes sense now...

Love this reverb! Thanks for creating this Michael.
One question for anyone: I'm set up so that if i have a track fx window open, when i click on a new track the fx window for that track opens automatically. On a track where Dragonfly is selected, Reaper freezes for a good 5-8 seconds while Dragonfly loads. Is that normal for anyone else? Thanks

I just tested that and can't reproduce it on my computer using the latest Reaper for Linux and the latest Dragonfly (Linux VST and LV2 versions). Are you using the latest Dragonfly? Check the version and compare to what's available for download.

Hi James, thanks for taking the time to check. I re-downloaded Dragonfly and replaced the old version today, and I don't know if it was just restarting my machine or the plugin being a newer version, but everything works smoothly now. Thanks! Darren

If you don't know what version you were running, and getting the latest one solved the issue, then you were running an older version.
Note to anyone with problems with this plugin, or any other software on any OS: if you have problems with the software, check if there's a newer version that has bug fixes.

James, do you have a link for the latest Dragonfly Verb? I got mine a long time ago so I'm sure there have been many versions since then.
Never mind James, I got it and I should have just looked at the first post. Thanks anyway.

On my (admittedly old) Windows 10 laptop, I get no text on these, so the plugin is completely blank apart from knows. Still seems to process sound, but not usable, obviously...

The background and knobs show, but no text. It's a shame since I'd like to try them!

I suppose that might be related to the OpenGL version on your system, and how your graphics processor handles it. Michael is working on version 4 of Dragonfly which doesn't rely on OpenGL, so hopefully graphics bugs will be resolved at that point.
In the meantime I guess you can see if there are updates to your video drivers which might help.

Yes! That looks exactly the likely issue; OpenGL 2.somthing is where my driver is stuck, so likely that's it.

I have OpenGL 4.3 but no text neither...
Processor Graphics in Use:
Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600
Shader Version: 5.0
OpenGL Version: 4.3
OpenCL Version: 1.2
(Win10 64, Reaper, everything to the latest versions)

I just upgraded to Windows 11 and I now just have the knobs but no text.
I used DragonFly Reverb on my last CD and it sounds great on classical guitar and mandolin.

No, it does not work.
It got blocked by the system because Apple can't verify the developer.
And it didn't open also when forces to override all security.
No way.

Windows 11 here too. No graphics, just knobs. What an amzing sounding reverb, though.
Also, it's 4 separate plug-ins, right? One "early reflections", one "plate", one "room" and one "Halls"?
I don't have anything like the picture in the first post of this thread.
Am I missing a .dll or something?

That was the original GUI, before the release of the 4 versions that exist now.

Awesome! Thanx Mr. Dog.
Now, just got to wait for an update that fixes the display problem. In the mean time, I'm going to get to know this thing without the visual help. Probably a good exercise in using my ears if nothing else.

Interesting. Bitdefender is not allowing me to access the most recent version, as it says there is a Trojan involved... Hope this is wrong, but better safe than sorry.

I just installed one of the version 3.27 plugs and found the same GUI issues. Version 3.25 seems to work as expected and it can still be downloaded from the same site.
Also, for what it's worth, a scan by Microsoft Security Essentials found no malicious trojan issue.
EDIT: It was the VST2 version of 3.27 that I tried. Didn't try the CLAP version or any other.
EDIT 2: I should have added that I'm not sure what version of OpenGL I'm using and I don't know where to look to find out.

DUDE! You're the man! Just installed 3.2.5. Works like a charm. Once again, you've been a great help. You've come through for me many times since I've been here. You're very much appreciated.

Great plugins!
Am i only one who has problems with either 3.2.5 and 3.2.7 VST on Reaper 6.71 on Mac 10.12.6?
3.2.5 don't show in FX browser and is filed to scan
3.2.7 loads, but crashes Reaper when saving project..
No problems on Windows and linux
* update
VST3 and CLAP seems working on this Mac 10.12.6
