Kontakt 5.6 GUI re-size issues.
The Kontakt interface was re-designed in 5.6 and it's causing some issues with Reaper.
If any of the elements (browser etc.) are displayed or hidden Reaper resizes the container the whole width of the screen.
If the interface is closed and re-opened it shows at the proper size.
Can anyone confirm?

Hi Pitchslap,
Just tried that for you.
Not seeing that here with 64bit 5.35 using Kontakt 5.6.6 (current versions of everything). The window resizes as expected, without the big blank space in your clip.

Im getting the same weird resizing in Guitar Rig 5.2.2
BUT i discovered its to do with my VST bridging settings. Pitchslap, are you by any chance running a 64 bit version of Reaper, AND do you have you Settings > Plugins > Compatibility settings to "Separate plugin process" or "Dedicated process per plugin"?
Because I do too, but it seems switching to "Automatic Bridging (when required)" stops Guitar Rig (and i will assume Kontakt) from doing this weird resize bug.
On a side note, when I have my compatibility settings set to "Separate process" or "Dedicated process", my 64 bit Melda Production VSTs load as bridged plugins even though I am using 64 bit Reaper.
Seems like there is a bug with the Reaper plugin compatibility settings

The other possibility is that this is caused by Reaper devs having adhered strictly to the VST coding standards & many plugin mfrs dont.
Who knows?
Antares for one are only just addressing some of their stuff that "didnt work right in any host" after a couple of years...,

this really doesnt seem like that - as i said, when i run my 64 bit native instruments plugins in 64 bit reaper with the default reaper plugin settings, this bug/glitch doesnt occur.
just like if i run melda production 64 bit vsts with default reaper plugin settings, it embeds the UI properly.
its only when i switch reapers plugin settings to 'dedicated process' or 'separate process' that the native instruments plugin resize occurs, as well as the melda production UIs not being embedded.
this seems like a reaper issue.

I'm using 64-bit w/bridging, but separate, not dedicated process.
I think that narrows it down and makes it easy to confirm (and hopefully fix).
In the meantime, I'll go back to running it normally since the resizing bug is more frequent than NI crashes taking down my projects.

Does this bug need to be posted somewhere else? Or has it already been?
