Default too easy to lose work with "new project" prompt

using someone else's reaper, i hit cmd N to normalize an item, but they still had "new project" mapped and i impulsively hit "no" because i wanted to normalize, not to do whatever the unexpected prompt was saying. The prompt said something important: "do you want to save before starting a new project?" didn't read it. lost some work. karma probably. but too easy to lose work. looked for a .bak, no .bak, looking for the autosave feature. autosave not found in the prefs. is there autosave? time to google.

As i recall, autosave start working after your first project save. If you're on a new project in a making and it is not saved no autosaves. I believe i learned it the hard way.

Nope, I have all projects (including unsaved ones) auto-saved every 5 minutes to a folder on the desktop. Then I just delete the contents every week or so before it gets too big. It's saved my butt so many times.
