Default REAPER and Sound Control

Sound Control is a system wide eq for OSX. I use it when I need to listen to my Macbook's speakers, or to create monitor/room EQ's for different setups/locations. See:

https://staticz.com/

Import and export is only available in Sound Control 1.1.0, which is in beta. You can find the beta here:

https://staticz.com/beta/

I need to work out how to import these into ReaEQ and from ReaEQ into Sound Control. On first sight, both use XML.

Only the data row is a lot longer for ReaEQ (REAPER's built-in equalizer). The number of rows is equal.

Cutting and pasting the data from Sound Control's export file into a REAPER .RPL file and then importing into REAPER showed the name of the preset. Selecting it made REAPER crash.

Anyone ever attempted something like this?

That is no guarantee the data can be directly transferred between the softwares. (And Reaper's data format isn't XML anyway, it just slightly resembles XML.)

Thx, Xenakios.

What format is it that REAPER uses? Is there any documentation available about these formats anywhere?

The text format is Cockos's custom thing that is more or less self explanatory. (There's also some C++ code in the Cockos open source WDL library to deal with it.) The binary chunks (usually encoded in base64 text format) inside the texts are proprietary, specific to each plugin or other thing involved and are not really documented anywhere.
