Default v5.92 Pre-FX Volume envelope preventing Post-FX volume change

I think something's amiss with the track "Volume Pre-FX" envelope. If it's the only volume envelope active and ARMed on the track it overrides and prevents changing the Track Volume fader setting. The only way to change the track Volume (post-FX) in this case is to add a Volume envelope.

AFAIK, "Volume Pre-FX" is supposed to work like a gain control or clip gain. It's value should not show up on, or override, the channel fader and it should be independent from the Track Volume control.

And I agree with the previous poster: "the fader is a post fx device, so it should stay where it is when using pre-fx parameters. everything else is unexpected behaviour."

Personally I'm not sure how I'd go about.
I also think that argument makes sense but on the other hand currently you can write to pre-FX volume envelope using the fader e.g. also in touch mode which I find also nice but then wouldn't be possible anymore.

Pre-FX volume envelope has its own fader. That's the one that should be moving in READ and used for writing - just like any other control.

The pre-FX envelope, if active and armed, is reflected on the track's volume fader. If you don't want this, disarm it.

Yes, I can disarm it until I run the "Arm all active envelopes" action and then it wipes out whatever Volume level I had set for that track.

Why is the Pre-FX envelope affecting the Track Volume fader? That's a cross of envelopes and controls.
