Default How to create a .ReaperThemeZip file?

Hi Iīm starting to make some simple mods to Reapers Default Theme.

One of the mods is to change the file item_bg_sel to the same color as the file item_bg.

I unzipped the file: Default_4.0 and looked for the files. Then I copied the file item_bg and changed the name to item_bg_sel, then pasted and replaced that one into the folder Default_4.0.

My problem is that I canīt find the way to create a new .ReaperThemeZip and replace the original one with the mod I did.

Am I doing it right?

Back in the days of Reaper v3.xxx Iīve done it that way, now I canīt.

Thanks for the help.

Making a .reaperthemezip is the final step, if you are still doing mods then don't make one, just use the theme file and point it at the correct folder for images.
I have never used the default theme (Always used my own) and i have never created a .reaperthemezip even once (I don't share my themes, so not needed)

You CAN make a .ReaperThemeZip that doesn't contain the .ReaperTheme file - so it can contain all the graphics, but you can at least actively change all the Theme Editor properties.

Just make sure .ReaperTheme and .ReaperThemeZip are named the same.

Well what I want to do is the simplest mod. I just dont like the color change when I select an item. I already made the colors the same in the Theme Editor but Reaper uses 2 different graphic files for the brackground color of the items. How can I tell Reaper to use my .ReaperTheme folder (with my mod graphics) instead of the default one?

Thanks.

I think its

Prefs...theme editor...'Theme uses image resources' - set to your unzipped image folder

Ok I created a folder called "my reaper images" and could make some changes in the theme.

But I donīt know how to convert this folder into a .ReaperThemeZip folder in order to share my mods with other users.

I tryied in Win 7 to zip the folder and them change itīs name to: .ReaperThemeZip but the resulting was: .ReaperThemeZip.zip

I canīt find where I am doing wrong.

Any hints?

Thanks

You need to set the folder options in windows to 'show file extensions for known file types' to change just the extension to .reaperthemezip
