Default Default audio device issue on MacOS.

This is a minor annoyance of mine that might be worth adressing?

I'm on MacOS 11 on an M1 machine. When the Audio device in Reaper is set to "default system devices" reaper fails to switch back and forth between headphones and built in speakers when headphones are plugged in or unplugged. It keeps sending sound to the speakers when headphones are plugged in, until headphones are specifically chosen as the Audio device in settings.

I've verified that the system switches correctly, other programs send the sound where it should go etc. I guess this is not intentional, or am I missing something?

As a limitation or feature, depending on how you look at it -- In order to get REAPER to switch from the speakers to the headphones, you need to get it to close and re-open the audio device. You can do this by cmd+tabbing to another app when stopped (and no tracks are recarmed), or by opening the prefs/audio device page (while stopped) and hitting OK.

It would be nice if this was done automatically, looking at that now!
