Default 2nd pass render bouncing at 32-bit when it should be 24

Hi, I often use the action 'Track: 2nd pass render selected area of tracks to stereo stem tracks (and mute originals)', but every time I use it now it renders the selection as 32-bit FP files. It used to output 24-bit like the project default, and current project settings.

I think this happened after dropping in a 32-bit FP file into a project the other day, but it won't seem to return to 24-bit. I've tried changing the project settings, tried going into ReaScript to see if I can tailor the action but I couldn't find it in the ReaScripts folder...

There seems to be no option for changing the bit-depth that the action runs at. Does anyone know how to change it?

Appreciate your help.

This is controlled in the project settings dialog, media tab, under "format for apply fx, glue, freeze, etc". The default is 32-bit wav, but you can change it to follow the project recording format, or set a custom format.

You are a saint. Thanks so much. It was 32-bit all this time? We must go back.

It does make sense to use floating point whenever possible to avoid any chance for digital clipping.
