Default Plug and play

Dunno if it's possible even.

If some controller or thingamabob gets reconnected/plugged in. Could Reaper be made aware of this change without restarting the program?

Midi device: preferences->midi device->reset midi devices (rescans for added/removed devices)

Audio: No clean way to do this I know of. You can click on the latency readout in the top right of the TCP to attempt a rescan, but on my setup unplugging/replugging the interface causes the device driver app to crash. I suppose it would depend on the driver software and how robustly it was designed.
