Basic UI only for single plug

Is there a way to set the basic UI (i.e. sliders only) for a single plug-in? I found the setting in the prefs for global basic UI mode, but I see no individual setting.

What I need is a way to show the basic UI only by default because the graphic UI is causing a crash. A setting like "Run As: Basic UI" would be helpful.

That's odd -which plug-in is it? And which OS etc do are you using?

Augur (by Smartelectronix) was starting to give me trouble. It would run if I had the global setting for basic UI only, but crashed every time with the graphic UI (despite any custom setting btw).

I did solve this by changing compatibility for the Reaper executable (disabled "themes" and "scaling").
