Default What the hell is MCP View?

Hi all,
perhaps a dummy question, but when looking in the docs I often find this expression, but what does it mean?

For example in CSurf_TrackToID(): track index 0 always = master track note these indices in mcpView can be tracks in any order (mixer view), if !mcpView, 1->n = tracks (note the 1-based which differs from "GetTrackInfo"'s indices which are 0 based.

Is it simply a synonym for 'mixerview'?

Master Control Panel I believe. On the left of each of your tracks you have your TCP (Track Control Panel). At the top of all your tracks you have your master track. MCP is the area to the left with all your master track controls.

Ok thank you Matt, now I understand what MCP and TCP means, but what is MCP-view, especially in the context of the above API call 'CSurf_TrackToID()'?

Thanks in advance for your patience :-)

Nono, mcp in Reaperspeak is mixer control panel, so hansmeyer is right in that it's kind of a synonym to Reaper's mixer view.

Sorry, I can't help with anything that's mentioned in that sentence after CSurf. That's Venusian to me .
