Default "Save As Copy" feature

It would be nice to have added "Save As Copy" feature in main File menu.
What I mean is to be able to save actual state of project but as a copy with different name (for various reasons) and still continue to edit the loaded project (not that new saved).
Sometimes it is needed to save project with "copy media" and encoded to OGG for example to send to partner, but then actual project is reloaded with OGGs instead of previously WAV. And the Save As "with media" was made only to allow send to someone, but not to reload and continue working on it further.
So additional "Save As Copy" (with all options as Save as .. I mean copy media, etc) would be fine.
(e.g. Photoshop uses the same feature)

Hi vitalker,
please, do re-read the original post, please.

"Save new version of project" is nice but different from my feature request. It does not allow naming of project prior to save and also cannot select different destination to another folder and copy/convert media files. You know... It is simply different beast (not better - not worse, just different and I use it a lot, of course).

Ah ok, sorry. So the only difference is to continue working on the initial project? Now I undestand what do you mean. Yes, it may be useful.

Perhaps "Save a copy" instead of "Save as copy" would be more clear. Or "export backup copy" or similar.

You can check the last dev build. The feature probably will appear in 5.966.

This will be useful to me as well. Another tool in the arsenal.

It saves reloading the previous entry in the recent project list.

bumping

As already stated, although the new/added "Save copy of project as..." action is very useful, still the FR was about deeper integration of this function (to contain all the options from main "Save project as..." dialog - mainly the option "COPY" (not "Move" in this case!) media to new destination.

! EDIT:
Oooh, it seems I was too optimistic I just tried that action and it does not what I thought (my FR). It can save copy of RPP project file only (to new chosen directory and with custom edited filename, and open project stays with original project = not reloaded with the new project file = OK), but without ability to COPY/CONVERT media files :-(

So this is only kind of "save new version of project" with the ability to custom edit folder and filename.
I hope it will mature to allow copying/converting media files too.

My Feature request was this
