Using reaper in combination with switch pedal

Hi all, in order to make a simple setup for playing live I've been trying to get my Korg PS-1 pedal switch to work with reaper, alas to no avail so far.

What I want to do is add the pedal signal to the 'Go to next track' action. However, when I try to do this via the action list, reaper doesn't register anything. (Even though the pedal signal is entering reaper properly, as I can see the MIDI data coming in when I press te pedal).

Does anyone know what might cause this and how it could be solved?

in the "actions menu / list", did you use the option in the lower left corner called "Shortcuts for selected action"? Just gotta "add..." and step on the switch
