Default Loading drum samples into reaper

Hi all,

I'm super new to reaper and digital music production in general,
I've been try to figure out how to run my get good drum sample library into the DAW so i can program and record drum parts. I'm not really sure where to start as far as what all i need to do to get up and running with drum programming in reaper, any and all help would be greatly appreciated, sorry for being such a caveman about all this stuff!

Not 100% sure but I think the Get good Drums stuff needs the Kontakt player to work. There's a free version if you haven't already got Kontakt: Kontakt

Have you watch Kenny's videos? A very good start: https://www.reaper.fm/videos.php

And there is tons gazillions videos on Youtube also.

i have Kontakt already but im not sure how to get kontakt and by extention, GGD to be programable from the daw. thanks for the help though!

This video might help get you started: How-To: Record Kontakt in Reaper (Tutorial)

He's using an older version of Reaper it's not much different in the latest version.

for some reason kontakt isn't showing up in my vst folder how would i go about loading it into my vst folder?

In Reaper go to menu Options->Preferences... Then in the Reaper Preferences dialog navigate to Plug-ins, VST and check that the VST plug-in paths text box includes the path where you installed Kontakt. If not add the path and 'Re-scan'
