  • + MacOS: display read-only text boxes with window background color

Thanks for the render improvements!

Please consider "2nd pass rendering" at some point. It would massively help musicians and sound designers and speed up work flow a lot.

I know some of this is simply house cleaning, but I don't think ANY CC lane should not allow CC shapes. Simply disallowing it for certain lanes is not the right approach imho. Every CC is fair game these days, even ones that are more defined like CC64. They all need to be treated the same. If someone doesn't want shapes for a particular lane there should be either a user-definable pref to set the lanes that are off limits to shapes (and not just LSB lanes) or a mouse modifier or action that disables shapes when editing.

Same goes for CC lanes 120 and above. There isn't a compelling reason not to have them available as lanes. Just because a CC is defined as something in the 35+ year old midi spec doesn't mean it is only used that way (or even used for that assignment at all anymore). It is a freely available CC that can be assigned to anything at all and should be treated as such.

Reaper 6 regression of MIDI editor ruler font not being antialiased is still there. It was antialiased in R5...


And yes, please add CC120-127 as lanes. This is needed. Many devices out there don't conform to General MIDI spec and use these as just another parameter controller.

I believe this problem will affect this window for many translators.

The windows marked in red are the ones with problems and where to increase them to the right.

"Format:" is the only string in a new dialog. Scaling the width of this dialog may also fix your width issue.
[DLG_294] ; IDD_RENDERFORMAT_CFG

The "primary/secondary" text should be localizable in the "render" section.

Nice! I have requested this couple of times.

Is it possible to add these in the future?

+ Media Explorer: It would help a lot, if there would be a right click option "browse folder/Go to destination folder" from search results. Currently you you need to memorize the path, if you wish to browse the source folder. It would improve the overall use a lot.
+ Media Explorer: If there are master track FXs added, it would be nice if the media explorer could use them too automatically. Right now it's a hit & miss, if the sample will fit or not. You need to add it to track to see how they sound. Make this optional via check box.
+ Batch Process: Add Fade in and Fade out

Default Update on the crashing situation I've been running into.

Update on my previous posts regarding crashing in the last few pre-release:

I have to take in account that this is a new machine and there may be some kinks to work out. It's built on a AMD Threadripper 3970X. AMD gives the user much more access to overclocking the CPU.

When the CPU is set to 15% overclocking I get some blue screens while printing and some times where Reaper just halts but does not take down the system.

When the CPU is set to 13% overclocking I get now no blue screens and have not experienced any new crashes.

My guess is that the CPU is getting too hot. Windows tries to halt or throttle reaper down to keep the CPU cool and then reaper halts.

The obvious solution is to keep the overclocking below 13% and report back if there is still a problem.

The docs for GetSetProjectInfo_String is still missing the description for RENDER_FORMAT2.

Secondary rendering is really nice. It should also be easy to add to my API

The documentation should be correct in +dev0128, but the actual functionality doesn't work right yet. It should be fixed for the following build, though.

I think increasing the DDP Format window area to the right as shown in red(DDP Br pic) will solve the translation problem to all the truncated windows.
Because the truncated region coincides exactly at the end of the DDPLogo. See the pics.
