Default moving loop points during playback

hi all in the wonderful world of reaper,

im hoping that there is a simple answer to this problem that i have somehow missed in the preferences.

if i set, say, a 2 bar loop to repeat and then decide to move the end loop point marker to the 4 bar point while it is still playing, the playback cursor will move to around a quarter of a bar away from this new end point upon mouse button release thus interrupting playback when it jumps to this new point. is there any way to stop this happening so that you can achieve smooth loop playback without the playback cursor jumping to just before the end of the loop.

i used to use reason and you could move the end loop point marker around all over the place and it would never cause the playback marker to move and thus cause jumping to different sections of the loop.

i hope i have explained this clearly!

i would really appreciate if someone could help me out on this...

hey try playing with the smooth seek settings in the options dropdown menu.

and also look at your Seek Settings in preferences (playback prefs, I believe).

same problem, this thread did it, cheers, after several yeers.

PS I really wish this forum had a +1 like in stackoverflow, it would remove those dated threads that don't apply anymore and waste everyones time...I will suggest.
