Default Key snap actions?

Are there actions for engaging key snap in the midi editor? And actions for setting the root note and scale, chord,etc? What are these actions called? I’ve searched through the action list, and online and on the forums, but I don’t find anything.

Thank you so much!

There are the following actions for changing the root;
Select next key signature root
Select previous key signature root

And these for the scale;
Select next key signature
Select previous key signature

All of these will also engage the key snapping if it was not on already.

no actions needed... the settings are right down at the bottom of the midi editor itself

That's right where they are. And to set a specific key with actions, you'd probably need some kind of settings window anyway, like the one already down there. Still, for the specific question about an action for engaging the key snap, ones mentioned above are the only ones I know of.

Thanks Xpander! I’ve now used these actions, and while they change the root note and scale displayed at the bottom of the midi editor, the snap behavior is as if I hadn’t changed the root note or scale. However, once I reselect what I want with the GUI at the bottom of the editor, the snap behavior is as expected. I guess I should make a bug report? Does this happen to anyone else?

And Hopi, thanks — yes I see the controls for this at the bottom of the editor, but for arranging it will be more efficient for me to set these actions to keyboard shortcuts- clicking those drop-up menus every time I move to a new bar drives me crazy and slows me down.

But the key snap feature is otherwise a GODSEND for arranging 4-part harmony!

Please, developers, add this action.
