Default Multiple Takes - no intervaention

I was playing with multiple takes last night, and it worked fine, except that at the end of each take I have to press the record button again.

Is it possible to have reaper loop forever in a highlighted region, making a new take each time until I stop it? I tried using the loop button on the transport but that seemed to be doing something different like making a loop out of the take or something similar.

Can I do this with one of the punch in options maybe?

Thanks,

Andrew

Hi Andrew! I just tested this. Normal record mode should do the job. Just set up a loop, click the Toggle Repeat button, begin to record and it will add takes at each loop. For new files at each loop, tick Preferences->Audio->Recording->Create new files on loop.
