Default Mixer control panel

Hi all,

A little help please. In the standard project layout or default layout the screen you see has 2 sections. The bottom section has all the faders and the master which are locked into place.

I am not sure what I pressed or button I bumped but this whole section has disappeared. I can access the mixer panel in View and can dock it but this is not what I need as it doesnt provide the layout I am used to. I want to get my screen back to that default layout. I wish I could post a photo of the screen to show you what I mean.

Any suggestions on how to resolve this?

Thank you very much for any help you can provide.

Cheers

Andrew

I'm not sure what you've done, but is Docker ticked on the main View menu? If not, select it to enable.

You can take a screenshot (many free software programs available for this) and add it to your post (Go Advanced tab) .... that might help.

What Nicholas said

You may be misunderstanding "docking". If the mixer is floating, right click on the mixer and select Dock Mixer in Docker. This will (should) return it to it's default location. If not (meaning it docks it somewhere else like in the side), grab the text that says mixer (found under the mixer) and drag the mixer to where you want it docked. Default is the bottom.

Default Mixer control panel

Hi all,

I need help restoring my mixer control panel to the default setting. I am not sure what I pressed or bumped but all my track faders and master fader disappeared.

I know I can see this via the View tab but I want the layout with all of the track faders locked into the bottom half of the screen , not floating.

I hope this makes sense and I look forward to any possible solution.

Can you see the attachment, this is with the mixer docked. Its in the middle of the screen.

Thanks

Andrew

Right click at the bottom where the tabs are, and choose "Attach Docker to main window".

Go to reply ->Additional Options->Manage Attachments

Add the photo, choose upload and post away

Or better yet; use imgur.com and post the photo there and add the link here!

So where is the mixer now located for you? Is it not docked (free to move)? On the right side/Left? If it's free, then you should just right click on an empty space in the mixer and tick on "dock mixer in docker"

A second way, also in case of the latter, what you would want to do is to find the [x]Mixer tab and then drag it to the bottom, It should generally be around the master track

I'll post a screenshot on what you need to look for, and then drag down

So the GIF I posted showed the exact same thing. But what ever! Glad you got it sorted out! Could you edit the thread title to include "solved" so other people know it too?
