Default Is it possible to have your TCP and Mixer folder tracks collapse/expand in sync

reference:
https://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=166136

I don't want to hide the tracks as it would be nice to expand if needed while mixing, in the full screen mixer window.

I see there was an mpl script for this: "Script: mpl_Link TCP MCP folder collapsed state (background).lua" however it's not working for me.

Anything like this yet?

Difference between tcp and mcp is that in tcp you can collapse the folders, in mcp you'll have to hide the children. Solution was presented in post #16 of that thread. Was that something that doesn't work for you?

mpl_Link TCP MCP folder collapsed state (background).lua
Works here. You should run this once (check you have it runned in Actions menu in "Running Reascripts")

I tried "close all running reascripts" & then running it once. Then i ran the "Track: Cycle folder collapsed state" action. No luck for me.

I dont see an action titled "running reascripts." to view reascripts.

Any ideas?

It is not an action, it is a menu entry:

ASee? I told you so! (grin)

Thanks for the pointers, all you Clever People. Going to try that on a project I just started...

I should read the manual more.

Hi.

Every time I click this added menu option I get a dialog about creating or terminating instances. What am I doing wrong?

Cheers

Got it thank you! Never have done that before.

Any way to run this every time I start reaper? Rather than manually doing it every time?

Thank you, got that sorted out. The only issue for me now is making a custom action or cycle action to expand and collapse fully as there are no actions for that.

Also making a shortcut key command. Since it's a background script I can't assign it to anything or it'll just deactivate it :/

Any ideas on this?

Thank you for your help so far!

Yes, I can't figure this one out either... it's the only thing that stands in the way of letting me use this script in my workflow.

Doesn't work for me. Script is running but expand/collapse folders in the TCP doesn't affect the MCP at all. Any ideas what am I doing wrong?
