Default Plugins no longer in their allocated folders

Has anyone ever come across plugins disappearing from their allocated folders? I have just noticed that a bunch of plugins that I had painstakingly categorised and put in their own folders (some often in multiple folders) now no longer appear in their folders even though Reaper does "see" the plugins and loads them fine and they appear in under the "All Plugins" category.

Is there anyway of fixing this short of going and re-categorising my plugins one at a time?

I have the latest version of Reaper as of writing this and am on windows in case that matters...

I think rescanning for VSTs recreates the default folder categories, but it isn't supposed to delete your custom creations.

Although, the most common cause of disappearing plugins for me is forgetting that I have some text entered into the browser's search bar.

Necroing this thread from earlier. Does anyone know why this might be hapening?

Also the weird thing is the plugins appear when I search for them in the parent "folder" of my custom folders. But not in the specific folders themselves. (see pictures for what I mean)

It would be worth rebuilding your custom folders, doing a clear/rescan & then going back in to see if anything has changed.
After a clear/rescan, your plugins will all show up under "New" but assuming your custom folders were there before the new clear/rescan, they really should not change.

I just tried it on mine under version 6.35 on windows pro 64bit & it works fine.

When you say you tried it on your end and it worked, did you have problems before doing the rescan?
