Default Convert two mono tracks to one stereo track

I have a project containing a pair of mono tracks from a pair of overhead drum mics.

For a couple of reasons, I want to make a single stereo track from these two mono tracks.

I can't seem to find it in the user's guide, searching this forum, etc. Surely there's a simple way to do this, right?

There are a few ways to do this, but dragging them onto the same track (with free item positioning enabled), panning them and then gluing them is what i usually do.
i think kenny's video is this:-

The user guide says to do it by selecting those two tracks and rendering by File> Render> selected tracks. I know, it's a bit of a workaround, since you then have to import that file into your project as a new track.

There's a thread on this somewhere (if you search it) where you can combine actions to rendered two mono tracks to a single stereo track. I prefer this method. It will pan each track hard right and hard left though.

I can look later what I have in my actions list if you want it.

Inertia, that would be great if you don't mind.

I've also found another way to do it, from another of Kenny Gioia's videos, involving putting the L and R mono tracks into a folder and freezing the folder track.

All this flexibility!

Here is the script i use.

This is useful if you want to quickly make stems for a mix project and is less cumbersome than adding a new track manually, dragging the tracks in and doing a render.

This script will pan hard left and right though.
