Default File Administration for Reaper

Okay, so as a new user to Reaper, one thing I noticed the software defaults to doing that is driving me crazy - everytime I open a new Reaper project, by default it's creating a folder entitled 'Reaper Media' is my Documents on my Mac..

I'd like to be able to change this so it doesn't happen.

I understand that creating a save as when you open a new project right away allows you to save all media into that respective project folder/subfolder if you select it, but it doesn't stop Reaper from creating this MEDIA folder every time I open it up, and I'm becoming a bit obsessive about clean files and file paths on this new computer, can anyone explain to me how to rectify this?

I just want Reaper to behave so that by default this folder is not created in my 'Documents' location.
