ReaControlMIDI not recording channel pressure (FIXED)
I always insert ReaControlMidi before any VSTi where I want to record changes to an automation lane not imbed them in the midi file.
This works perfectly for the Pitch Wheel (it intercepts the signal and only writes it to the automation lane not the midi file)
however this does not work for Channel Pressure.
In ReaControlMidi's built in log you can see messages for both pitch wheel and for channel pressure so it is definitely able to read the state
As a workaround you can use http://thepiz.org/plugins/?p=pizmidi midiConverter3 to map channel pressure to something else, I used in the past when Tyrell N6 did not handle channel pressure correctly.
Was just about to create a thread, glad I'm not the only one with the problem.
I'm using channel pressure a lot on my selfmade midi controllers and was suprised that it wouldn't work on the VST instruments anymore. Thought it was a hardware failure, but Reapers MIDI control plugin showed the incoming channel pressure data (without doing anything with it, just monitoring).
As mentioned, thePiz' converter plugin does the job for now, but it's still way to cumbersome.
